Community Support

Giving Back to Our Community

UL Lawyers strongly recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. Our founder and managing lawyer, Sunish R. Uppal has a motto that he follows – "we grow when the community prospers." We believe in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Our Charitable Mission

Our Philosophy

Sunish is a firm believer in the theory of karma – what goes around comes around. If you share your wealth, you will be rewarded and blessed with more in life.

In life, it is inevitable that you will come across individuals with an "every man for himself" mentality. We at UL Lawyers take the opposite approach, one that is more inclusive and welcoming. We believe that in order to be successful, you must always act in good faith and be respectful of others. Only then will you be blessed with long lasting success.

Our Foundation Story

In 2015, upon landing our first big settlement, the firm set out on our first charitable initiative, in which we helped a local from Brampton, Ontario by the name of Nathalea Miller. Nathalea used to be a nurse and was hurt in an accident, consequently losing her vision. UL Lawyers donated $7,000 for Nathalea to attend a broadcasting course with Connect 4 Life (Charitable #848974648 RR0001). This helped Nathalea in getting back on her feet as well as into the work force.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2016, the firm adopted three boys through a Registered Canadian Charity (#889046397RR0001) by the name of Handi-Care International. Under their 'Adopt a Child' program, our firm was able to sponsor children with various disabilities between the ages of 6 and 18. In 2017, upon further success, UL Lawyers adopted three young disabled girls.

Children We Support

Our Commitment

To adopt a child in this program, a fixed payment has to be made where the funds donated are kept as a fixed deposit. The interest earned on this fixed deposit is used to pay for food, clothing, education, medical and rehabilitation expenses of the child, until the child completes high school and progresses to college or vocational training.

Today, we are the proud sponsors of the following children:
